Public Trips

COVID 19

We are pleased to announce that following the government’s lifting of most restrictions our normal public trips will restart on Thursday 29th July. However, for the time being capacity will be limited to a maximum of 16 passengers. We will aim to increase capacity as and when we can.

Our public trips are on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 12 noon and 2.00pm.

Board our narrowboat for a relaxing 75-minute trip through historic Newbury with our enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fully-trained volunteer crew. There’s plenty of interest to be seen as you rise up a lock and cruise through a swing bridge

Tea, coffee and light refreshments available. Enjoy a glass of wine or beer from our licensed bar. On board toilet.

Please leave push chairs in your car if possible. Otherwise they can only be carried on the roof.

Prices.  Adults £7    Children (2-16) £4   Family ticket (2 + 2)  £20

    Covid Security

All our trips will be COVID-secure in compliance with the Government’s latest guidance on managing the risks. We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with our crew, who have received appropriate training. We have cleaning and hygiene procedures in place and are limiting capacity to ensure the boat is not too crowded.

We ask that you do not come to the boat if you, or anyone in your group or household, has Covid symptoms. You are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering when getting on and off the boat and inside the cabin and to use the hand gel provided when boarding and after using the toilet.
